In 1897, Marcel Durgnon, a French architect, created the design for this remarkable art piece. Unlike other museums, the Egyptian Museum was purposefully built from scratch using modern architectural techniques. While the exterior showcases elements of Greek architecture, the interior rooms and showrooms draw inspiration from ancient Egyptian artistry. Recognizing its historical significance, the Egyptian Museum was added to Egypt's archaeological list in 1983.
