Siwa Oasis

The Siwa Oasis is a city oasis in Egypt. It is located in the Western Desert, between the Qattara Depression and the Great Sand Sea. The city is located to the east of the border between Egypt and Libya, about 560 kilometers away from the capital city of Cairo. It is well-known for its significance in ancient Egypt, serving as the residence of an oracle dedicated to Amun. The remains of this oracle are now a popular tourist spot, earning the city the ancient title of Oasis of Amun-Ra, named after the prominent Egyptian god.
